This project is ideal for students who are interested in nutrition communication, public health education, and social media. Together, we will create evidence-based Instagram posts and Instagram Stories that translate complex health information into engaging, accessible content for the public.
Topics may include dietetics, public health nutrition, women's health, hormonal health, PCOS, blood sugar management, intuitive eating, GLP-1 medications, healthy eating, and other public health issues. Students will have the opportunity to research scientific literature, fact-check content, develop educational messaging, and assist with content planning and visual storytelling.
I am looking for students who are strong communicators, detail-oriented, and excited about making health information approachable and engaging. Experience with Canva, Instagram, or graphic design is helpful but not required. Curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to learn are most important.
By the end of the volunteer experience, students will gain experience in science communication, evidence-based nutrition education, content development, and professional collaboration while contributing to a portfolio of educational social media content.
